Polling suggests that tens of millions of people are taking this message seriously: One in four Americans said they tried to cut back on meat in the last year, and half of those cited environmental concerns as a major reason. The popular food site Epicurious recently announced they’ve stopped publishing recipes with beef in them, because of beef’s climate impacts, setting off the latest round of discussion on meat’s effects on the environment. Cutting meat consumption is as smart an idea as advertised.

    Attendees of IFC’s first virtual food safety event have heard how Africa is tackling the issue of safe food domestically. The 9th International Finance Corporation (IFC) International Food Safety Forum covered domestic and trade issues, as well as food safety culture over two days in May and is still available to watch.     By 7 p.m. Thursday, a line hugged the side of the Delray Beach Market, filled with people holding tickets to the Food Network and Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival.  As tickets were processed and temperatures were taken, they moved inside. The event at the Delray Beach Market kicked off the festival’s first night and the first time the 20-year-old fest held an event in southern Palm Beach County.
