Kelly Osborne looses 85lb following a plant-based diet and has “more fun with food than ever”

TV star Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she has lost an impressive 85lbs (6 stone) following a plant-based vegan diet.

The 35-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has credited her vegan diet, which she has followed since 2012, as being a major factor for her shedding the pounds.

The star has been vocal about following a plant-based diet for a number of years after looking to maintain her weight loss following her stint on Dancing with the Stars in 2009, during which she lost 2st 2lbs.

Sharing details of her diet on Instagram, Kelly has previously shared: “I really miss eating cheese so today I tried ‘vegan shell pasta and creamy sauce’ aka Mac & cheese… you can not tell the difference.”

The star has also said that over the years her views on veganism have changed drastically as she no longer finds the diet restrictive.

“I used to think being a vegan was boring,” she said. “Now I have more fun with food now than I ever have before.”

Osborne has no plans to ditch her diet anytime soon and understands that the key to success when making long-term changes to your diet is to work out a diet that works for your body and to understand that the commitment to going vegan is as much a lifestyle choice as it is a dietary one.

In an interview for HuffPost, she said: “Once I learned how to work out right and eat right, it’s one of those things that you just have to commit to a life change rather than being on a diet.”
