It is officially election season for the Specialty Coffee Association‘s three trade guilds: the Coffee Roasters Guild; the Barista Guild; and the Coffee Technicians Guild.
Nominations for Leadership Council elections for each guild opened today and close on Monday, Oct. 3. Volunteer Leadership Council members two-year terms.
Each guild has its own specific visions and objectives, yet each is driven by volunteers to create a more robust, connected and skilled specialty coffee community in alignment with the mission of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).

Representatives of each guild will review nominations and put forth a slate of proposed candidates in November. That will be followed by a petition nomination period and then an election period, with election results currently scheduled to be announced Friday, Dec. 9.
The Coffee Roasters Guild is seeking nominations for five open positions this coming year. The Barista Guild is looking to fill three positions, and the Coffee Technicians Guild has five spots opening.
