We spend a good portion of our lives — and these days, cashola — on food. The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the average American household spending on food consumed at home was $412 monthly in 2020, and that’s only gone up since then. Meanwhile, the average American dines out 5.9 times per week, spending almost $300 per month. That’s a lot of clams.
