We spend a good portion of our lives — and these days, cashola — on food. The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the average American household spending on food consumed at home was $412 monthly in 2020, and that’s only gone up since then. Meanwhile, the average American dines out 5.9 times per week, spending almost $300 per month. That’s a lot of clams.

So, here’s an offer you can’t refuse: something that costs no clams. It’s a free-to-all digital newsletter, Erielicious, in which I will visit with chefs and home cooks and toy around in my own kitchen. You’ll go behind the scenes at restaurants, explore trends and recipes and all kinds of cooking. Readers also will hear a bit about Team Jennie, including my husband John and son J.R., who each run (for fun!) and, despite dietary restrictions, still have to eat.
