    Make corn pop: Pan-roasting makes flavor a little sweeter, adds appeal | Food and cooking

    I began with an entrée that is worthy of serving to company but is quick and easy enough to make on a weeknight. I call it Chicken with Roasted Corn Sauce, the name does not do it credit. Recipe names are hard. The sauce is actually made with Dijon mustard, cream and white wine (but that’s too many words to put into the title). Dijon cream sauce is a classic with chicken, and I just added corn for an additional irresistible layer of deliciousness. The sauce requires whipping cream (any lighter cream cannot be simmered), so it is quite rich.

    Fleur de Lolly: Celebrate corn season with John Deere theme | Food/Recipes

    It’s that time of year — the corn is ready! And how better to celebrate its delicious flavor than with a John Deere theme. For the dining table covering, I purchased enough John Deere material from a local fabric store to cover the table. The bright colors of Fiestaware in shades of Shamrock Green and Sunflower Yellow place settings and napkins complete my color scheme. Rattan chargers and wooden napkin rings bring a touch of rustic authenticity along with wood grain-accented flatware. Here is one of our favorite corn recipes. I hope it will become one of yours as well.

    Louise Hagger Chicken nasi goreng – nasi goreng ayam I’ve been eating chicken fried rice for as long as I can recall and it’s a dish of which I never tire. This version of nasi goreng is my absolute favourite. The galangal and white pepper give it a good amount of heat, which is balanced by the sweetness of the kecap manis and the saltiness of the soy and fish sauce. The fried duck egg with a runny yolk on top is sheer luxury. With the added crunch of green beans, fried shallots and kerupuk or prawn crackers, this dish

    Fair food recipe: Ohio Roast Corn – Food and Dining – The Columbus Dispatch

    Makes 4 servings From Concessions by Cox What you will need: Gas or charcoal grill Metal tongs — long ones are best Ingredients: 4 ears fresh Ohio corn on the cob in the husk 4 teaspoons butter Salt and pepper to taste When buying corn for this cooking method, look for bright-green husks that are still tightly wrapped around the cob and the stem should still be moist.
