    Co-op Cuts ‘Unfair’ Price of Vegan Food

    Co-op’s vegan food is now cheaper than ever. The British retail group just announced a price reduction across 29 products in GRO, its plant-based range, with up to 50 percent off some key ingredients and meals. The Co-op said that it aims to reject the “unfair” pricing of vegan staples such as burgers and sausages in order to create a price parity with traditional animal products. It also clarified that the ingredients and quality of its vegan food will not change, and the group has invested an additional £1.7 million into its own-brand range to make the price reduction possible.

Coca-Cola Co. has ended its long association with the International Life Sciences Institute, a blow to the powerful food organization known for its pro-sugar research and policies.     TYLER — As the East Texas Food Bank responds to growing need during the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit organization is preparing for the loss of thousands of dollars in funding due to proposed state budget cuts.     Taco Bell Cuts Potatoes from Menu, Enraging Vegan and Vegetarian Eaters

    Taco Bell is removing potatoes from its menu to the annoyance of devoted vegetarian and vegan customers. The chain is removing potato entrees, including Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Cheesy Potato Loaded Grillers, and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco.
