The Dish: Discover bubble tea at Yummy Villa | Food-and-cooking

A Classic Milk Tea from Yummy Villa on Opelika Road in Auburn. Tonya Balaam-Reed | Tonya Balaam-Reed I read a lot of food-related stories, and I honestly find nearly all of them extremely interesting. Whether it’s a recipe or the history of a certain food, I’m all in. Food is just cool. A couple of months ago, I edited a story about Boba, which the story said is “also known as bubble tea.” It was not only fascinating, but gave me an idea for The Dish. I’ve never had bubble tea, and it was past time to try it. For

TikTok’s ‘pasta chips’ trend turns the Italian dish into snackable finger food

Pasta chips are the latest TikTok food craze that’s putting a spin and crunch on the traditionally soft dish. The viral food trend’s hashtag alone has racked up more than 364.3 million views on the popular video-sharing app, and verified TikTok creators have already given it their stamps of approval. All it requires is boiled pasta, your preferred seasonings and oil, an airfryer or similar appliance or tool that can fry or bake, according to Feel Good Foodie – an American digital food media company created by Yumna Jawad. This authentic Italian pasta dish is perfect for weeknight cooking | Food

In so many ways, food defines cultures and brings people together. A well-prepared meal can transport me to its country of origin in much the same way music and art can. However, the elemental effects of food can literally be felt in the gut. Of all the world’s foods, dishes inspired by Italy’s La Cucina Italiana are my favorites to prepare at home. I like the simplicity of La Cucina Italiana, which tends to focus on allowing a few excellent ingredients to shine, especially produce, in its dishes. Because Italy is a country with long food traditions made up of

Fleur de Lolly: Fun dish for pepper lovers | Food/Recipes

This is a fun dish for all the pepper lovers out there. I used a variety: jalapeños, bell peppers, Anaheims and poblanos. You can use a mixture as I did, or choose your favorite. The addition of the eggs will give an almost soufflé-like texture to the casserole. You’ll need 8 to 10 peppers, and based on the size of the peppers, you may want to use a few more or less. The number of peppers to be layered into the casserole is flexible. Chorizo and Roasted Pepper Casserole • 8 to 10 peppers (your choice of heat levels) •

A Chicken Dish That Makes It Feel Like Christmas

One of the most memorable dishes on our table was chicken cafreal, or galinha cafreal. Believed to be rooted in Mozambique, chicken cafreal was brought by the Portuguese to Goa, where it underwent a transformation and eventually became the dish we know now. The chicken is first marinated for a short time in a cilantro mixture that’s infused with the scent of fresh ginger, cloves and cinnamon, among other spices, and then cooked to produce succulent meat lathered in a rich, fragrant sauce. But it was the crispy fried potatoes, prepared just a few minutes before serving and placed atop

In 2019, 10{c33c21346ff5e26ab8e0ae3d29ae4367143f0d27c235e34c392ea37decdb8bed} of Americans didn’t have access to enough nutritious foods to meet their needs, which is another way of saying that they were food insecure. Thanks to the effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, particularly higher rates of unemployment, that number has risen to 15{c33c21346ff5e26ab8e0ae3d29ae4367143f0d27c235e34c392ea37decdb8bed}.
