Over 2,000 pounds of frozen pasta products are being recalled due to an inspection issue. Avanza Pasta issued the recall because some of its products were distributed without being routinely inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). About 2,237 pounds of meat and poultry pastas are included in the recall in both ravioli and tortellini varieties. The food items were produced between the dates October 5, 2019 and March 12, 2021. An extensive list of the recalled pastas can be found on the USDA website here that describes their package sizes, brands, product names,

This authentic Italian pasta dish is perfect for weeknight cooking | Food

In so many ways, food defines cultures and brings people together. A well-prepared meal can transport me to its country of origin in much the same way music and art can. Because Italy is a country with long food traditions made up of

If, like me, you’re lucky enough to live in and around New York City, you won’t be short of Italian restaurant options. Yet, any time I suggest a visit to my favorite pasta restaurant, I always get the same reaction: raised eyebrows, shocked looks, and incredulous comments about pasta. My clients are skeptical, too, always skipping pasta because it’s high in carbs, and they think it makes them gain weight. (Here’s why

From pasta pies to caramel bars: Yotam Ottolenghi’s pumpkin recipes | Food

It’s a week past Halloween and nearly three until Thanksgiving, which means it’s pumpkin time! Cinderella may not be pulling up in a carriage at either celebration this year, but don’t let that stop you having a ball. There are so many varieties to get to know. The main difference between pumpkin and squash is the texture of the flesh, with pumpkin tending to be more fibrous. So long
