If you’re like most home cooks, it’s likely you have a preferred pan in your roster. Sure, there’s a fleet of cookware to choose from in the kitchen, but despite it all, you consistently circle back to that very special one, whether it’s your grandmother’s cast iron skillet or a sturdy Dutch oven.

For Amazon shoppers, that piece of cookware happens to be the Gotham Steel Ultra Titanium Skillet. Reviewers have become so obsessed with this pan that they’re actually ditching expensive cookware and simply relying on this nonstick skillet to do the majority of the cooking. One customer even says that the $20 skillet easily “outperforms more expensive pans.”

Constructed from a PFOA-free ceramic copper coating, the 9.5-inch nonstick skillet can be used for just about anything, from perfectly frying eggs to grilling burgers and flipping pancakes. The cooking surface has been coated three times, then bolstered with diamond-like particles to ensure the pan won’t scratch if you use metal tools. Even on the highest heat, the handle will stay cool. Plus, the pan is compatible with all stovetops (aside from induction), and is oven-safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

To buy: 9.5-Inch Gotham Steel Ultra Titanium Skillet, $20 (originally $30) at amazon.com

Unsurprisingly, the Gotham Steel skillet has picked up nearly 7,000 perfect ratings from shoppers who have dubbed it their “go-to pan” that “works like a charm.” Some reviewers even admit that they would have paid more to get this kind of quality skillet if it meant they were rewarded with a “lifetime of good cooking.”

“I recently purchased an expensive set of stainless steel [cookware] and one Gotham Steel [skillet], but after using the Gotham Steel, I had to buy more,” one five-star reviewer says. “I set the other cookware aside. You just can’t lose on this purchase.”

“This pan rarely leaves the stovetop,” another shopper says. “Easy to clean, doesn’t burn, and hasn’t scratched, and I’ve had it for quite some time now. Would say I’d buy it again, but in all honesty, I probably won’t need to because this one seems like it will last forever.”
