  • 1/2 cup of salted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup of white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of banana mashed (I used one banana)
  • 1/2 cup of pecans chopped

Frosting Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces of creamed cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons of butter softened
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of pecans chopped
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8X8 baking dish. Combine butter, white and brown sugar, egg and vanilla and mix well. I just used a spoon.

  • Add in flour, cinnamon and banana, stir until well mixed.

  • Fold in pecans.

  • Baked for 22-25 minutes until center is done. It may have a little moisture but that is okay. It took mine 25 minutes. Ovens vary.

  • Let cool completely.

Frosting Instructions:

  • For frosting, combine all ingredients, except pecans and mix with a hand mixer until well combined. Spread over banana bars and top with pecans.

  • I store these in the fridge, they are great cold.
